Jane’s career in the care profession began around 30 years ago. Her experience stems back to working with the British Nursing Association and the West Suffolk Hospital.
Jane also spent time working out in the community for various agencies. ‘It was during this time that I felt determined to make a difference within the care industry’.
With such extensive experience, Jane made the decision to work as a sole trader. ‘Working independently out in the community allowed me to give the time, care and support that was so desperately needed’.
It was Jane’s passion to make a difference that bought about the establishment of Jane Bennett Care Services Ltd. ‘I wanted to create a care service opposed to an agency. I wanted to feel that we were making a real difference to the lives of the individuals we care for, and the families and friends of these individuals’.
As the Director, Jane hand-selects the most caring and high-quality care workers to deliver a professional and personalised service to each of their clients. ‘I am extremely proud of the carers that I work alongside. They have each contributed towards achieving the great success of Jane Bennett Care Services Ltd’.
Tessa first began working in the care industry in the summer of 1999, in nursing and residential. ‘I always felt a need to help others, particularly the elderly’.
During her time working in a nursing home, Tessa was given the opportunity to complete the pilot scheme for what was then the NVQ Level 2 in Heath & Social Care. Continuing with this, Tessa went straight on to complete her Level 3.
‘After 2 years I joined Suffolk County Council, where I worked my way up to team leader. It was this position that allowed me to develop and hone leadership and management skills which would become integral to my role as Registered Manager at Jane Bennett Care Services Ltd’.
In 2011, Tessa began working alongside Jane and became Registered Manager of Jane Bennett Care Services Ltd in 2013. ‘The support from Jane and our team enables me to manage and provide a care and support service for older people in their own homes, tailored to their individual needs’.
When starting as a carer, it was Tessa’s ultimate goal to work for a company that prides itself on delivering the highest quality of care, putting the client and their family at the centre.
‘Since working for Jane Bennett Care Services, I have achieved my Level 5 in Management and Leadership, which I consider to be a real achievement. However I continue to remain working out in the community alongside our team of excellent care workers – to provide a service for our clients that’s personal, yet professional’.
